Inspiration
Over the weekend, I travelled to the city to see the Sixties Surrealism show at the Whitney. Communed with favorite artists reacting to their time… addressing issues of body and cultural, sexual, and gender identities, and the tumult that society experienced as it was rebalancing spheres of power.
From there I found myself at a show of former grad school professors, and met the loveliest photographer who presents her own vulnerable body on full display, as she grapples with her own frailty, strength and mortality. I was just floored.
