Imposition
Looking to see if components add or subtract. Does moving image in the background of static forms create an atmosphere that describes environment or builds a narrative? Does the superimposition confuse or limit the meaning? What about layering two moving images on their own to create a vibrational action? What about an action that is tangential?
I’m interested in the shimmer. Photographing an object in the water presents a layer of viewpoints: the surface of the water reflects dancing reflections of light, with surface tension creating distortions. The veil above the water is opaque and appears white, the veil below the water is translucent and captures the color below.
